Alot happens this time of the year and I have managed to capture a few great moments. I took Maddy, Allie and her friend to the Macy's display of the Elves. Maddy was amazed as well as the older girls and myself.
We took the girls and my Mom to the Holidazzle parade, the weather was perfect and so was the company. The light parade was beautiful as always.

We attended a christmas tree cutting party in the morning prior to going the the parade.
We got the tree up and decorated, here is some footage of the girls, the tree and the dancing.

Fall Stuff

Hello from Lendt's. Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch went well again. I took the girls and it was a beautiful warm day. Got all our pumpkins, face painting, and this year we are trying out popcorn on the cob. They say you can pop it in the microwave, on the cob in a paper bag.
We recently had a 100th anniversary party at my grandma Larson's farm. Here she and Maddy are talking.

A photo of the old log barn at gram's.

Kids in the leaves at the party. There was no rake, they gathered and piled the leaves themselves by hand.

I took this pic on the Tribute to the Troops ride this year. This is at Camp Ripley, it is John standing and Rockie Lynne (a celeb country artist that rides with us).

All in August

August has brought Allie closer to Middle School and with that she has begun trumpet lessons. I think she is a natural, beautiful and growing up so fast!
This photo was taken at the annual Almelund Thrashing Show, this piece of equipment is a Splittstoser Potato sprayer....yes it is true you know a descendant of the inventors and agricultural entrepreneurs, This piece is from the very early 1900's and was manufactured in North Branch. The building is still standing and is occupied now by the A and C engine specialists near Blockbuster video.

I recently took Maddy on her first official trail ride on horseback. She loved every minute of it and has since taken over ownership of my horse. We went with my Mom, Christie and Sadie.
Here is a day at home enjoying the sun, pool and the yard swing.
Maddy and I joined Sheri and Ashley along with Jessie (Matt's niece) for a day at Fawn Doe Rosa. The deer were huge and friendly. Daddy was impressed with the rack on this one!
John and I recently returned from a week bike trip around Lake Superior. We put on a couple hundred miles a day, which doesn't seem like much til you're sitting on the back of a Harley! Thank God for Advil and hot tubs.

The scenery was breathtaking and went on forever. This is an example of one of the many falls we stopped at.
John and I celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary today :) We did some shopping, dinner and a hotel night this past weekend in honor of the occasion.

Summer Slippin' Away

Our family has spent some time at my Uncles farm this summer looking at all the new baby animals. Here Maddy is holding a "Banty Chick" that is not more that a few hours old. It was just found on the incubator dry minnutes before this photo. She and Allie both love it, and the amount of begging to take it home was immense.
A July 4th boat ride was enjoyed by us all.
We stopped at the annual Green Lake party given Dale and April at the cabin. The kids got to get their party on too.
Went to the Chisago Co. Fair and Maddy got to meet some kind and gentle animals a the front gate that were very attentive and ready to eat the 25 cent grain that was for sale. Pictured are Fallow Deer, we got to meet a baby Bison, kangaroo, mini donkey, and more.
My Grandma got an award for having a 100 Year Old farm in the family, that was very cool!
Allie and Maddy on the water tramp at Matt and Sheri's annual Summer Bash! You would never know that is was 75 and suuuuper windy, the kids have fun no matter what.

A weekend on the St. Croix

One special weekend, Maddy's first camping trip on the island. Last weekend was spent camping on the river with just our family. What a great time. There were sandcastles, food, fishing and more!
A little "River Rat" by birthright.
Maddy is enjoying some olives while anxiously anticipating breakfast.
Allie is photographing us here by the campfire.

Maddy is just waiting to get going here.
In no time she became an expert at the tent zipper and thouroughly enjoyed the tent itself. It was just like a playhouse to her and we all got to be in it too. The girls got to sleep together and Allie noticed a little sand in the bed.....go figure.
Georgeous if I do have to say so myself!
We had a great meal of brats, hotdogs, beans and salad, before the fire and fireworks.
Daddy is teaching Maddy a little about fishing.

Happy Summer!!!

Hey all, summer is finally here. We had a great weekend just pass and we enjoyed all the summer sunshine.
Midsummer days in North Branch brought the parade. We love parades, Allie is here on a float for her gymnastics group. Daddy and Maddy ran out to greet her.

There were a few rain drops before the parade started but soon it led to more beautiful sun. Here Maddy learns to run into the streets to get candy. She had a great time, was a little scared of all the fire engines and cop cars with loud horns and sirens. Maddy's favorite of all were the Shriners on their "Harley Davidson's Daddy."

Daddy is enjoying his new toy here. Thank you Uncle Sam for the economic stimulous check, we never could have done it without ya.

To celebrate the first day of summer we spent the day here on a sandy beach on the river. Nothing like sun, sand, food and family.
