The girls were able to skate on the pond at home after a thaw and refreeze allowing the water to melt and refreeze crystal clear and smooth.
John and I attempted snow tubing as a Valentine Treat, not for the weak! The hills were sheer ice chutes.....fast and exhilarating.
The girls on another day of winter sports, quite the athletic bunch.
After a long cold winter we decided to take a warm weather break. We boarded a plane and flew south to Florida for a week. Here is the girls, Maddy's first plane ride, she tolerated it just like her big Sissy the pro.
Here we stand at Clearwater Beach, one of my personal favorites. We all loved the warm sun and sand. The water was a cool 59 degrees but tolerable to Minnesota kids.
